Mouton Citrus, a leading citrus producer, packer, and exporter, seeks a Support Agriculturist to join our Production team.
We’re looking for a meticulous and organized individual to collaborate with operational and technical teams, driving efficient farming operations, maximizing crop yields, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Crop Management: Facilitate implementation crop management plans, including, fertigation, irrigation, integrated pest management and harvesting.
- Farm Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on farm performance metrics, including operational progress, yield, quality, wages, and costs.
- Data Management and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret agronomic data to inform crop management decisions and optimize yields.
- Recordkeeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, inventory, crop yields, soil analysis, and other agronomic data, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Farming Operations and Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to production staff on agronomic and farming systems.
- System Integration and Improvement: Integrate data management systems with other farm management systems, identify process improvements, and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture or related field.
- Relevant experience, preferably within the fruit industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and data management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
